Spiderverse

The residents of Earth-7606.

Mind-Weaver | Calico Carter

[I was never supposed to get too attached to this. Originally I was just doodling and wanted to recycle another oc, Extrasensory, into a spider. I'm obsessed and can't look back now lol.]

Calico Carter is a 19 year old college freshman at Centurion University, in Rockfall City. Bitten by a radioactive spider at 16 years old, Cal laid low for 3 years before moving to the city and becoming Mind-Weaver.

Cal's powers consist of the typical stickiness, strength, and hightened senses, with the addition of mind reading and the ability to inflict auditory hallucinations. The mind reading is completely involuntary, a power he can't turn off. This causes him great stress and horrible sensory issues from being constantly overstimulated. His stoner roommate, Guaro, often has to motivate him to go out as Mind-Weaver after a long day.

Vampire Squid | Valerie Nikos

Valerie is a 20 year old freshman at Centurion University. A mechanical engineering prodigy, she's the assistant to Dr. Olive Octavius

pic pic

The daughter of Emil Nikos, Valerie is a mercenary for Doc Ock in order to become strong enough to defeat Morbius. She's vaguely vampiric, and wears red eye contacts.

Dungeons and Dragons / TTRPG

Various player characters from DnD and other TTRPGs that I have played.

Cassie

Cassie lives in the city of Glade. Think magical New York City.

Cassie [no last name] is a barbarian who was cursed and mutated by a young warlock/other magic user. He was combined with a gender reveal pigeon which disfigured his face and broke his vocal chords, now unable to make human noises, making him sound like a really big, deep-voiced pigeon. He uses sign language & pen and paper to communicate. He doesnt remember anything before the magic user transformed him, except for the warlock's face. After he was cursed, he was a bouncer at a lesbian bar for a few years, the job being the only one he could get while being masked and w/ no past, there he got his name. After working for awhile in a depressed haze, he decided he was too miserable w/ his life and decided to finally seek out the warlock who cursed him.

cassie test cassie

Being mixed with a pigeon resulted in many parts of his physiology being busted, such as his homemaking skills becoming garbage and his romantic attraction being completely broken.

Auk Gillie

Auk's setting is traditional DnD.

Auk Gillie is a young adult Aarakocra, his specific species being similar to a Parakeet Auklet. He is a monk.

Auk was taken in by sea-faring monks who worship Procan, God of the sea, salt, and navigation. Having spend the majority of his life on a boat alone with solitary monks, he has trouble socializing, with very underdeveloped interpersonal skills. Having come from a species with extreme reliance on pack-bonding to survive, Auk is stunted, and prefers to just stay quiet and watch the environment warily as a result.

Coming to a mainland is part of a trial by fire his religion requires. He must map out the entire region and return to his ship, and only then will he be considered an adult. He sticks with his party in order to ensure safe passage across the land. However, he is slowly starting to realise his party may be more trouble than they're worth.

auk peeksie auk peeksie auk peeksie

Auk has been consistently bullied by his party members, intentionally or not. This results in Auk believing their behavior towards him is a test from his god, Procan.

Calico "Extrasensory" Carter

Cal, a Variant Human warlock, lives in the city surrounding Centurion University.

extra ref

His powers include mind reading, with a radius of 250~ acres in all directions, though its not that useful when you have to pick out voices from a crowd under stress. He can inflict auditory hallucinations on others, as well as create a large sonic blast as a last resort.

Rain World: Dryspell

Fan-characters and lore based on Rain World and its DLC.

ITERATORS
Angels in the Architecture
Labour of Love LoL
Waves of Teasel WoT

Teasel feels cheated out of a little sibling, seeing as they were closest to Castle physically. It was Teasel who came up with the design for Castle's puppet, not telling or showing anyone. At their heart, Teasel is upset about Castle's lack of life, resentful towards their creators, and frustrated/angry with the others in their group who disregard Castle. Their filter to all of this is gossiping. They're always looking away to other things, like Pebbles or Moon, and spreading information throughout the local group. If you bring up Castle they're gonna avoid it and shift it to something else, and if you push it, they're gonna trivialize it (and feel bad about it) or lie.

When Castle eventually collapses, Teasel receives a ping from their structure as it falls. They become obsessive for a time, creating a slugcat to explore and attempt to revive Castle. They never send it. They're too nervous about what they could find, but in the end, the slugcat escapes their facility grounds and finds it's way to Castle's can.

Crumbling Castle CC
12 Silver Screens
SLUGCATS
The Voyager (and T)

Created by Labour of Love, The Voyager is a scout planning the safest way to Angels in the Architecture's can. T records each death and the coordinate path of each successful cycle. Voyager can hide T from threats by putting its eye in their mouth, but it can only survive so long inside before short circuiting, killing itself and Voyager. T MUST be alive when the player eventually reaches Archi's chamber.

In The Voyager's campaign, Archi needs helpers to clean the inner workings of his can. His filters have faltered in recent cycles, and the water he pulls in is unclean, causing overheating and internal bacterial growth. After meeting Archi, Voyager gives him the ALIVE eye of the modified overseer thats been in their stomach/on their back. If the overseer is alive, Archi tells the player that he can transmit their mario kart ghost to Labour of Love. If it's dead, Archi will inform the player that they have failed. Both outcomes leave the player to continue afterwards (like riv or arti) and pursue a different ending (ascension).

Abilities: The Voyager can slowly propel themselves forwards using the jets on their back, as well as climb walls. Their jets are critical for speed in water and 0 gravity, and their tail can be used to turn around in these environments with ease. Slightly larger breath capacity. Has inherent knowledge of Archi's can.

Drawbacks: it's an escort quest. If T dies, the run continues, but the main lore ending cannot be accessed unless the cycle is reset. Without T, Voyager cannot remember maps (excluding Archi's can).

V and T brain damage in the dark
The Fool

A gift from 12 Silver Screens to Labour of Love. Originally made to be an intelligent solution to her pest control problem ended up being a very stupid, opportunistic animal that Screens couldn't control. Fool was supposed to be exiled by Screens upon realizing her failures, but Labour of Love won't let her do it. The slugcat has an orange pearl strung around its neck with a message for Labour, with condolences at the silence of Archi and essentially saying that The Fool would be much better off keeping him company than being miserable at Screens' can. The Fool, of course, gets lost on the way to Labour's facility grounds and ends up in Archi's.

Archi's grounds are now mostly desert. Midway through the campaign, Labour of Love's overseer spots the player, and points them towards the can. Archi is unresponsive when Fool arrives, his puppet stuck in a meditation position from the sand in his joints. Once the player reaches the puppet chamber, a modified T will pop up, show visions of the sandstorm, and point the Fool deeper into the construct to point out that Archi is still alive, just trapped without communications. All the while, The Voyager's colony, without the purpose they were intended for, has gone feral and will attack The Fool on sight.

Abilities: Biting. Can turn invisible if standing still, not holding food, and holding shift. Increased strength.

Drawbacks: no stomach storing. Harder to obtain positive rep with scavs. Harder enemies overall.

Heart: of Planet Salt

Heart: of Planet Salt is a somewhat abandoned original story about jellyfish mechs in a post-human universe.

General Lore

A lot of H:oPS is loosely based on the theory Galvanism and animal electricity. The planet that the story takes place on is called Salt, with the sapient inhabitants basing large amounts of their culture and knowlege on human projects such as the Golden Record and information capsules shot into space. The events of H:oPS take place millions of years after human extinction due to gradual nuclear fallout. When humans first realised they were all going to die, corporations monetized it, launching heirlooms and family information into space to ensure the people of Earth would not be forgotten.

After human extinction, their cultures in capsule form lingered in space for years and years before a large amount of them crash-landed on a planet of low-sapience, nomadic, large single-celled organisms. These organisms would name themselves 'Leuco', and their planet 'Salt.'

Leuco live in superstructures carved and built into the calcium shells of superstructure-scale sea snails (typically species similar in shape to Horse Conch). The Snail itself is not sapient, but the Shell is. Shells typically harbour up to 6 to 11 million Leuco, all living in the walls of the Shell. The Shell can change forms at will, but the speed at which the form morphs depends on the severity of the situation.

The primary species of Salt are not organically born sapient, but are instead born as an amoeba-like organism, and are imprinted with high-level sentience brain scans from their parents. A person can make a child by themselves, but it's considered taboo both socially and ethically. A Leuco made by a single individual is often emotionally unstable, and has trouble developing an identity. The energy that travels through the water and salt formations of the planet give off low-level sentience. The energy can vary in sentience, the second most common manifestation of mid-to-high sentience energy are storms, heatwaves, and the mechanical and chemical energy required to maintain life inside of a Shell. The most common form of high-level sentience is a Leuco.

If an object is shocked, blasted, or otherwise faced with a high amount of energy, that object can gain a will. This causes the object to have emotions, objectives, and the ability to interact with the world. The object's objectives can be moulded by an alchemist or electromancer, by changing the object's form or using specific temperaments of energy to force upon the object.

A Lithomancer is a Leuco who uses saltwater to flash-form different essential objects. A Tree is a crystalline spire with holes, the wind blows through the tunnels like an instrument and emits a high-pitched, thin whistle. There are membranes of plankton in the tunnels that convert CO^2 into breathable air

With storms rarely come Octopuses, creatures that use electromancy to force their sentience upon creatures. Octopuses use imitation to prey upon Leuco and other organisms, then silently take their place in the Shell or colony. An Octopus is able to read desires through low-sentience brain waves given off by victims that travel through the water, easily spread around by the storm.

Heart
Quark

Quark was formed independently by her father, Citrinitas, resulting in emotional and physical instability. She's a very strange girl, a little bit too serious and grave at times, with an obsession with symbolism.

quark twt quark twt 2

At the beginning of the main story, Quark gets drawn in by an Octopus during a storm, and posessed. The only one who is aware she's been posessed is her father. She is currently being cared for by Lodestar in a hospital. The posession, weirdly enough, makes her more normal to the general public despite the bouts of violence she experiences. Quark's posesser uses Quark's position as the daughter of the High Alchemist in order to take over major surveillance operations. If you've watched Adventure Time, it's like Princess Bubblegum's camera room.
